From humble beginnings
Jantzen Audio is a family business founded in 1995, by Peter Jantzen, Iwona Anna Jantzen and Bogdan Chorazyczewski.
To this day multiple generations of both the Jantzen and Chorazyczewski families are still working in the company a long with our invaluable employees which most of have been with us for at least 20 years.
In the first years, our company name was “Polink Wilkowo” and we were solely producing air and iron core coils for Lydig (Harmann-Becker / JBL) who at the time had production facilities in Denmark.
When Lydig (Harmann-Becker / JBL) closed up shop in Denmark, we had to rethink our existence and from then on, we worked hard on finding new professional audio customers, more international distributors and we also added in many new product types.
Reinventing ourselves and becoming one the world’s premiere audio brands
As part of reinventing our company and focusing on both supporting audio professionals and DIY audiophile enthusiasts, it was time for a new company name.
Our good friend Claus Futtrup (formerly of SEAS, now with Dali) proposed that we should use our family name as it sounded good to his ears.
We agreed, and “Jantzen Audio Denmark” was born.
Our production facilities have always been in Poland, but until 2022 we also had some administrative and certain R&D operations in Denmark.
In 2022 we closed all operations in Denmark and gathered everything under one roof in Poland and we also changed our name to simply being “Jantzen Audio”.
Since our humble beginnings we have evolved from only producing air and iron cored wire-based induction coils, to now offering a much wider range of hand-crafted induction coils, including Litz wire and foil-based inductors.
In addition to expanding our induction coil program, we now also offer other high-quality and high-end crossover components, such as our “Z-Cap” series, Cross Caps and other capacitor models.
We have also had the pleasure of our long-term close cooperation with Danish loudspeaker designer Mr. Troels Gravesen, which means that we now offer the largest selection of premium DIY loudspeakers kits on the market.
History of the founders and the generation change
Bogdan Chorazyczewski has spearheaded the development of all our coil winding technologies and coil model designs and to this day remains in charge of overall daily operations at our production facilities.
Iwona Jantzen was owner of the company until 2018 and was one of the very few female pioneers and CEOs in the audio industry.
Iwona Jantzen finally retired in 2022.
Since 2018, as part of a generation change, Michael Jantzen became the owner and CEO of Jantzen Audio, bringing with him new innovations and product lines as well as implementing a more professional online presence for the company.
Where we are now and where we are going
We currently offer 7 different induction coil types, 9 capacitor models, 3 resistor models, and an extensive assortment of other audio related products.
We are also official distributors of SEAS and SB Acoustics speaker units.
We also offer select Audio Technology, Faital Pro, Scan-Speak and Viawave speaker units, sold along with for the DIY speaker kits found in our DIY kit configurator.
After 30 years in the audio industry we continue to build on our mission which is to offer handcrafted induction coils, high-quality capacitors as well as expanding our portfolio of other audio related products.
Our goal is to offer the best service possible to the finest loudspeaker manufacturers and DIY audiophiles across the world.
